Little Red

This is "Little Red" a daughter of Red sired by Andy the first percentage Boer buck we owned. Andy was a black & white 1/2 Boer and 1/2 Lamancha . Little Red is following close behind her mother in producing quality commercial and percentage kids. She's getting a little long in the tooth but she still consistently produces twins and triplets and raises them without problems. She gets to stay in the barn where it's warmer in cold weather and gets a little extra feed year around but she's worth the extra bother. Her ear tag is #1 making her born in 1999.

Texas Bonnie

Texas Bonnie is a FB redheaded daughter of Jet Black's Lignite of Troy & Mary Powell's Little League Ranch, born 2/26/02 who also has a crow black mother. Dam of Uphoff's Dale which we sold to Jean Adams of Lincoln, NE in the 04 4S Goat Expo Sale.  We are keeping her dark red & white paint nanny to add to our herd.

Jet Black's Lignite

Jet Black's Lignite, owned by Troy and Mary Powell, Little League Ranch, Iowa Park, TX. He is the sire of the FB nanny goat to his left..

The Mother Superior

This is EDSR CPF Cherry, who has become the Mother Superior of our breeding herd. She has earned the nickname, 'The Witch' cause she's so cranky with the other nannies , but she's a sure enough good one. She had twin paint nannies on her when we bought her down by Branson, MO in 2004. She was bred to Sonora Redneck and in May of 2005 she had Uphoff's Ernie a dark red billy and Uphoff's Elyce a red and white paint nanny. Ernie went to Mike and Chris Stork at Arlington, NE.  In 2006 Cherry had Uphoff's Farmall, a dark red billy that we sold to Mike Fey at Groton, SD,  and a red and white paint nanny that we sold to Marty Hannaford at Brownsville, NE. In 2007 she had Uphoff's Gilbert and Uphoff's Gilmore. Gilbert went to Larry & Bruce Peterson of Imperial, NE at the 4S Goat Expo Sale .  He has since moved his base of operations to Windmill Boer Goats, Harold & Teresa Johnson at Hyannis, NE. In this picture she is bred to Redneck again for March 2008 kids. She had Hercules, Heathcliff and Hector. We sold Hector to Scottie & Patti Krautschun of Broadwater, NE.  Hercules and Heathcliff were in the CSU Buck test at Ft Collins, CO.   Her last kid was Uphoff's Irene, a red & white paint born in 2009, sired by CRR Texas Traveler.  Irene produced a traditional nanny & billy in 2011 sired by CRR Texas Warrior.  We are keeping the nanny to continue this bloodline.  Witch was born November 25, 1999 so she's kind of a senior citizen but she's sure enough got a home for the rest of her life.  Update:  We retired Witch in the spring of 2011 and she spends her time now with the replacement & For Sale nannies.  She's ready to go into her own reserved stall every evening and spend the night in the barn.  She'll be 13 years old in November of this year.  She's a little arthritic in one hind leg, but other than that pretty healthy for a "senior citizen".
